Acupuncturist
Qigong Instructor
Helping people find their way to better health is my passion and goal as an Acupuncturist. I chose to study Chinese Medicine because of its holistic approach to healing and resonance with nature. I fell in love with Chinese Medicine because it helped me feel better. I have been witness to, and experienced first hand, the transformative power of Acupuncture treatments. It has been a privilege to practice this beautiful medicine and an honor to be of service to all those who seek it.

Caring for ourselves is the best investment we can make. Taking time to nurture ourselves and tend to our healthcare needs allows us the freedom to live life fully and pursue our dreams. Being healthy means we spend less time worrying about feeling better and more time doing the things that bring us joy and happiness. With good health comes more energy and focus to take on whatever life brings our way.
We are fortunate to have many healthcare options. It has become increasingly important to pay attention to the health of our body, mind, and spirit, and even more important to find appropriate care. It can be extremely frustrating when we make an effort to care for ourselves and find solutions to our healthcare issues, only to be left with unanswered questions. This can lead us to feel isolated and alone on our journey to better health.
How can I help you?
We do not exist in a bubble. We are more than the sum of our parts. Everything in our lives is connected to the state of our health. Everything from our environment, our diet, how we move our body, our relationships, what we do for a living, and how we feel emotionally about who we are in relation to all of these things, is taken into consideration when making a diagnosis in Chinese Medicine.
With an emphasis on individualized healthcare, I listen to your needs and desired health goals in order to develop a treatment plan geared towards addressing, not only your symptoms, but the root cause of your health concerns.
My goal as a healthcare practitioner is to help you transition into a better state of health so you can live your life to your full potential.

you touch everything."

ACUPUNCTURE
NOT JUST NEEDLES
Our bodies have the ability to heal themselves, though sometimes they get stuck in patterns that create disharmony and/or disease. Acupuncture works by accessing specific points that are believed to have the most influence over the way the body heals, in turn correcting and restoring proper function to the body, mind, and spirit.
Acupuncture treatments create an internal environment that allows the body to relax while it works to correct what has become unbalanced. Acupuncture is a gentle, natural healing modality that has been utilized successfully for thousands of years.
Acupuncture works well with, and can enhance, the work you are already doing with other healthcare practitioners.
Acupuncture treatments are primarily performed using very thin needles, however, there are other tools an Acupuncturist can use to help you feel better. The following are therapies I may use during your Acupuncture session:
-
Cupping Therapy - reduces pain and inflammation, promotes healthy blood circulation, and helps to remove toxins from your body.
-
Gua Sha - a light scraping over muscles that relieves tension, promotes blood circulation, and eases upper respiratory congestion.
-
Auricular Acupuncture - everything that can be treated with Acupuncture on your body can also be treated on your ears with or without needles.
-
E-Stim - using specific electric frequencies applied to strategically placed needles can reduce inflammation, eliminate pain, help your body process emotions, oxygenate your blood, and remove toxins from your body.
-
Laser - using red and blue laser pens can help balance the energy pathways in your body and promote healing. A good alternative to needles.
-
Essential Oils - another alternative to Acupuncture needles, essential oils applied to acupuncture points can help balance your mind, body, and spirit.

OTHER INFORMATION
PRICING
Come to your Acupuncture treatments dressed comfortably, wearing loose-fitting clothing that can be rolled up to the elbows and knees. Drapery will be provided if needed. Comfort is very important. Make sure to have a light meal or snack ahead of time so you are not feeling too full or starving and can relax into your treatment. The initial visit is a ten minute consultation. If you decide to move forward with your treatment plan you can have a treatment the same day. In total this may take up to one hour to allow time for paperwork, in-depth questions about your health, diagnosis and a full treatment.
Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and this means that diagnosis is different than the diagnosis you receive from your doctor. Although I will most certainly take your doctors diagnosis into consideration (it is helpful and important), I do not need it in order to assess your condition.
Acupuncture works for all healthcare issues because it helps the body find its natural state of being - Balance. Because every person is different, treatment length and outcomes vary. You may feel great after your first treatment. However, in order for your body to maintain a healthy, balanced state, it may take a series of treatments. If you have been dealing with your condition for a long time, it will take more treatments to correct it. Frequency of treatments is very important as Acupuncture is cumulative. Our goal is to get you feeling better as soon as possible!
